This image, or one similar to it, is printed on page 123 of Carter's book Abundant Rivers, with the caption: "This old grave house has fallen to decay leaving some of this long departed soul's worldly goods exposed once more to the light of day. It was customary among most of the Indian tribes to bury the prized possessions of an individual along with his remains. This ancient rite is no longer practised."

File contains historical photographs of Gitxsan villages, with a specific focus on totem poles and various buildings in the villages. There are also some images of the Gitxsan people in regalia.
