Geschiedenis beheer
Materials have been acquired from various museum staff, at varying points in time. They have been grouped together into this collection by archives staff.
Bereik en inhoud
Collection consists of published or printed materials produced by and about the Museum of Anthropology. These materials include records related to MOA’s exhibitions, collections, programs, events, membership, gift shop, and physical buildings/spaces. Record types include pamphlets, brochures, reports, books, magazines, newspaper articles, cards/postcards, educational handouts, and posters.
The collection has been divided into 12 series. Some series, such as the "Exhibitions and collections series" or the "Membership series," reflect the subject area or function of the records within them. Other series contain records grouped together by record type, such as the "Posters series" or the "Cards and postcards series."

Ordening
Due to lack of original order, the records have been physically arranged by the assistant archivist. Materials were physically grouped together according to the record type or function/subject to which they pertain, and reflecting the collection's intellectual arrangement. When feasible, materials within series were arranged chronologically. Otherwise, their order reflects strategies for preservation (e.g. objects of a similar size grouped together).

Algemene aantekening
Terminology has changed over the years in referring to Indigenous peoples. In this finding aid, First Nations, Aboriginal, and Indigenous are used predominantly. Whenever possible the names specific to communities or cultural groups are used. The term "Indian" is only used in this finding aid when in direct reference to an item title.
