The subseries consists of memos, annotated policy documents, drafts of procedure documents, schedules, blank item cataloguing cards sample forms, correspondence and notes.

Subseries consists of records created as a result of keeping financial account of the museum’s activities. Among these records are expense ledgers, receipts, account statements, and statements of purchases. Files with more extensive descriptions contain material which may relate to the purchase of items in the collection.

Subseries consists of three files: “Correspondence re: proposed exchange of items with the Delacarte Gallery,” “Considerations for carvings done in new museum” and “Norman MacKenzie on the history of the MOA: donations, donors, purchases.” These files titles are largely descriptive of the subject matter of the records in the subseries. Subseries consists of a wide variety of records relating to the acquisition and documentation of collections. Material includes, but is not limited to: the notebooks of R.A. Brooks, Totem Pole subject files, H.R. MacMillan correspondence, H.R. MacMillan Museum Purchase Fund, gifts received by the museum, collections lists, collections receipts, collections summaries, L. and T. Koerner Museum Purchase Fund, W.C. Koerner donations and his Museum Purchase Fund, correspondence with Florence Fyfe-Smith, artist biographical files, possible acquisitions and files on objects A50000 ADCD – A50045. Photographs are also included in the series.

Subseries consists of material on exhibits, both at the UBC Museum of Anthropology and elsewhere. Files include material on the following exhibits: People of the Potlatch, The Trader and the Goods of Trade, Roy Vickers. These files include correspondence relating to possible exhibitions of oriental material and of Japanese, Greek, Roman and Etruscan material. The records in this subseries take the form of correspondence, memoranda, notes, sketches, news paper clippings, ephemera, plans and photographs.

Subseries consists of files providing documentation on loans received by the museum for exhibition purposes. Material includes borrower’s agreements, correspondence, ephemera, receipts for loans in, and lists of loans in (1956-1958).

Subseries consists of records related to a symposium, “Doing Yourself in? The Artist as Casualty,” held in 1982 which Clavir organized and chaired. Included are an unedited transcript of the 1982 Symposium, and six audio cassettes of papers presented there. Also includes a number of conservation conferences Clavir attended between 1984 and 1989, some at which she was a presenter. These later conference records were accessioned in one unlabelled folder, and were subdivided by the archivist in relation to each conference attended.

Subseries contains files related to Miriam Clavir's service to the Task Force on Museums and First Peoples. It contains correspondence between members and stakeholders, meeting minutes, drafts of reports, reports, and Mrs. Clavir's handwritten notes. A substantial portion of the subseries consists of submissions to the task force made by various stakeholders, which consists of reports and papers related to the relationship between First Nations and Canadian museums and institutions in general.
